Lovers Lookout

I got to design the album artwork for Red Jacket Mine's second album, Lovers Lookout. They're a Seattle band with a great sound.
The whole album was recorded live to two-inch tape, giving it this incredibly rich, warm sound. The band wanted that same warmth to come through in the artwork.
The magic was in the cover photo: this casual, dreamy shot taken with a cheap plastic film camera. I paired it with typography and colors inspired by classic '70s Elektra records. The whole thing felt familiar but timeless.
